Why this template works
- ·QR code makes participation effortless — no URL to type, no app to install.
- ·Live-updating results create theatre the audience leans into.
- ·Anonymous voting means shy attendees contribute.
Tips for running it well
- 1
Pre-generate the QR code before the session — don't hunt for it on stage.
- 2
Practise the transition from slide → poll → reveal so the rhythm is smooth.
- 3
Ask a question with no obvious 'right' answer — predictable polls bore audiences.
Ways to customise it
Open the session with 'what do you want me to cover?' — it shapes your talk in real time.
Close with 'what was the most useful takeaway?' — great signal for your next talk.
Use between sections to re-engage after a dense slide.
Questions
How many people can vote at once?
Plenty — we've tested polls with thousands of concurrent voters. The live results pane updates within a few seconds even at scale.
Can I show results on stage?
Yes. Open the poll's analytics view on your presenter screen and it updates live as votes come in. Project the results page for the audience reveal.
What if someone tries to vote from their laptop and phone to skew results?
Enable verification in settings to limit one vote per device. For high-stakes polls, require sign-in.
