Free Yelp QR code generator

A QR code that opens your Yelp page, ready to print. Yelp asks businesses not to request reviews, so this makes a 'Find us on Yelp' sign rather than a review ask.

How to find your Yelp link

  1. 1

    Open your Yelp page

Search for your business on yelp.com in a browser, not the app, and open its page.

  2. 2

    Copy the address

It looks like yelp.com/biz/your-business-city. If you only have a yelp.to short link, open it first and copy the full address.

  3. 3

    Paste it above

Pick a format, add your business name and print, or download a PNG for a print shop.

Why this isn't a 'review us on Yelp' QR code

Yelp is the one major review site that tells businesses not to ask for reviews at all. Its content guidelines say businesses should never ask customers to write reviews, and its support pages explain why: reviews that look prompted by the business are likely to be filtered out by Yelp's recommendation software, so a review drive can leave you with fewer visible reviews, not more.

What Yelp does want is for customers to find you there. A QR code that opens your Yelp page, next to a line like 'Find us on Yelp', does exactly that and lets customers decide for themselves whether to write something.

Frequently asked questions

Can I ask customers to review me on Yelp?

Yelp asks businesses not to. Its guidelines say businesses should never ask customers to write reviews, and reviews that look solicited are often not recommended by Yelp's software. Point customers to your Yelp page instead and let them decide.

What is my Yelp review link?

Yelp does have a write-a-review address (yelp.com/writeareview/biz/…), but using it in a sign or email is a review request, which Yelp discourages. This tool links to your business page, the address Yelp recommends sharing.

Can I print my own 'Find us on Yelp' sign?

Yes. A sign that points customers to your Yelp page is fine. Just avoid wording that asks for a review or for stars, and don't put it next to an offer or discount.

Why aren't my Yelp reviews showing?

Yelp's recommendation software hides reviews it considers less reliable, including ones that look prompted by the business. They are listed separately as 'not currently recommended'.
